Returns, Refunds, Replacements & Product Use
Welcome to Sirius Prints. By purchasing from Sirius Prints, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms operate alongside your rights under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Consumer Guarantees
Under Australian Consumer Law, customers are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product:
- Has a major fault or defect
- Is not as described
- Is not fit for its intended purpose
- Does not perform as reasonably expected
Where a product has a major failure, customers may choose between a refund or replacement.
For minor faults, Sirius Prints may choose to repair or replace the product within a reasonable timeframe.
2. Custom & Made-To-Order Products
Many Sirius Prints products are custom-made, modified, or manufactured to order.
Unless required under Australian Consumer Law, we do not offer refunds or replacements for:
- Change of mind
- Incorrect measurements or specifications supplied by the customer
- Incorrect colour or material selection
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by misuse, modification, improper installation, or exposure outside intended operating conditions
- Minor cosmetic variations inherent to the 3D printing process
Customers are responsible for reviewing all specifications and product details before ordering.
3. Nature of 3D Printed Products
3D printed products may naturally contain:
- Visible layer lines
- Minor surface marks
- Small dimensional tolerances
- Slight colour variation between production batches
These characteristics are considered normal and are not classified as defects unless they significantly affect the intended functionality of the product.
4. Functional, Mechanical & Load-Bearing Parts
Many Sirius Prints products are functional components intended for practical use. Customers acknowledge that 3D printed parts may not perform identically to injection-moulded or machined components.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise:
- Products are not certified engineering components
- Products are not guaranteed for critical safety applications
- Customers are responsible for assessing suitability for their intended use
Sirius Prints accepts no liability for damage, injury, loss, or consequential damages resulting from misuse, improper application, overloading, environmental exposure, or product modification.
5. Outdoor Use & Environmental Exposure
Some materials used in additive manufacturing may be affected by:
- UV exposure
- Heat
- Moisture
- Chemical exposure
- Mechanical stress
While materials such as ASA and PETG are selected for improved outdoor durability, long-term performance depends heavily on environmental conditions and installation quality.
Products exposed to extreme conditions may degrade over time and should be regularly inspected by the customer.
6. Starlink Mounts & External Installations
Customers installing mounts or external hardware are responsible for ensuring:
- Proper installation methods are used
- Suitable fasteners and supports are selected
- Safe mounting practices are followed
Sirius Prints is not responsible for property damage, installation failures, weather-related failures, or damage caused by improper installation or use.
7. Returns & Claims Process
If you believe your order is faulty, incorrect, or damaged, please contact Sirius Prints within 14 days of receiving the product.
To assist with assessment, please provide:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photographs of the product and fault
We may request the item be returned for inspection before approving a repair, replacement, or refund.
8. Shipping Costs
If a product is confirmed to be faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied, Sirius Prints will cover reasonable return shipping costs.
For returns approved outside ACL obligations, shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
9. Lead Times & Production Delays
As products are often manufactured to order, estimated production and shipping times are approximate only.
Delays may occur due to:
- Printer maintenance
- Material availability
- High order volumes
- Supplier delays
- Shipping carrier delays
Sirius Prints will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays where possible.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sirius Prints shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Loss of profits or business interruption
- Damage resulting from improper installation or misuse
- Damage caused by use outside intended specifications
Liability is limited, where permitted by law, to repair, replacement, or refund of the product supplied.
